Anne. M Evans received her undergraduate degree in microbiology from the University of Texas at Austin in 1986 and her graduate degree in Biomedical Communications from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas in 1989. She worked for two global biotech firms and collaborated on the Pediatric Handbook for the University of Texas Systems medical schools. She married Norman Evans, an electrical engineer, in 1993 and gave birth to Sarah in 1995.
Following her 3 year ordeal recovering from autism, Sarah Evans went on to be homeschooled and was accepted into John Hopkins Center for Talented Youth where she studied Mandarin Chinese and was dually enrolled in community college. She became State Organizing Secretary for the Children of the American Revolution. In 2012 she became the women's state NRA air pistol champion. She was twice invited to try out for the olympic air pistol team in Colorado Springs. In the fall of 2013, she was accepted into the honors program at the college of her choice and spent the 2014-2015 college year at the University of Nanjing.
